She emphasised that it is up to women to take responsibility if they are to get ahead and her emphatic message is: “Dream big, believe in yourself and step up to the task.” She urged the girls to “dare to be different”: aim high, work hard, keep learning and have confidence and self-belief. We greatly appreciate Laura’s generosity in sharing her experiences with us and in encouraging the ‘leaders of the future’ to believe in themselves and show the world how good they are. With inspiration from mentors and role models such as Laura, the future looks a great deal more promising for our girls.
