The girls played and scored their games in their own free time and reported back the scores. With a loss resulting in a knock-out the competition soon heated up! Favourites to win were Mr. Valner and Daisy (Form V). Sadly, due to academic commitments and GCSE examinations the pair had to concede a game, making the tournament open for aspiring talents such as Tilly (Form IV) and Honor (Form IV), who went on to win the final against the Junior Champions Lydia (Form II) and Blanca (Form II). The juniors managed to break the seniors’ serve just once in a skilful final. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone that participated. Let’s look forward to watching more tennis on Heathfield’s Hill next summer!
