Somerville Weekend, Busy, Active, Full Boarding, All Girls, Ages 11-18. Pizza Making, School PlayGirls in Forms I, II and III made their own pizzas with Form III playing it safe by generally choosing cheddar as their main topping whilst girls in the younger year groups were more adventurous, choosing between feta, mozzarella, salami and French sausage, just some of the ingredients on offer. On Saturday afternoon Forms I and II went swimming at Coral Reef and 48 girls from Forms IV to LVI went to Eton’s Rock Society show; it was certainly loud! On Sunday Forms I and II played Mr Doyle’s favourite activity “Capture the Flag” on the field which resulted in an honourable draw. Form III went to Laser Quest and Form IV took part in a First Aid course as part of their DoE training. In the evening there was White Chapel for the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus. It was Candlemas so each girl held a lit candle and all of the readers executed their readings perfectly. Lily (Form LVI) organised a meal out at an Asian restaurant for the LVI which was a relaxed way to finish the weekend.
