On Wednesday 11 November, in celebration of UK Parliament Week, the Careers & Outreach department presented our annual Heathfield Question Time.
BBC Question Time usually invites media professional and politicians to answer audience questions, but this time our panel was made up of our own students: Alia and Tabby in UVI; Poppy in LVI; and Julia in Form III with Rushi Millns in the chair. Girls from Forms III to UVI attended and with current Covid-19 restrictions, this meant Sixth Form and Form V in the theatre and Form III and Form IV attended via Zoom, as did parents and wider members of our community.
The questions were submitted by the whole school, with many coming from our new Form I students, and ranged from equality and Covid-19 to technology and the environment.
The evening was a huge success, and the panel did a fine job of answering the questions and getting their points across.
