The service was presided over by the Bishop of Northampton, Rt. Rev. Peter Doyle and the presence of the powerful College choir made for an extremely moving service. Prior to this Roman and Anglican candidates had been prepared together before the Catholic students received further instruction from the Catholic Chaplain of Eton, Fr Heap. They each had to choose a confirmation name (a Saint that inspires them) as well as a sponsor to assist and pray for them on their pilgrimage. In celebration of their further commitment to Christ the girls were invited to supper with the Headmistress which concluded with praying of the rosary.
