A fabulous trip to Royal Ascot was enjoyed by Heathfield pupils on the first day of the Royal meeting. We are so fortunate to have the spectacular Ascot Racecourse just a short drive from Heathfield.
As invited guests of Ascot, we had a fantastic view of the racecourse and stands with the wonderful, unique sight of the Royal Procession as it made its way past us. We were delighted to see the King and Queen in the first carriage and King Charles waved to the enthusiastic school children gathered in the dedicated area on the Heath.
After a delicious picnic lunch which included strawberries and cream, Heathfield pupils had a great vantage point to see the first two races on the race card. The sun shone, the King waved and a visit by Scotty the Ascot mascot made sure it was a most memorable occasion.
