On Saturday 23 November, the whole School community came together to celebrate the Christmas season and to fundraise for our four House Charities – Austen: Pineridge Dog Sanctury, de Valois: ROSA UK, Seacole: Grace Dear Trust and Somerville: Ollie Young Foundation.
In keeping with Heathfield tradition, Mrs Rollings, Headmistress, opened the event together with the youngest girl in the school, Izzy in Form I. In the Sports Hall, along with the four House stalls, there were a wide selection of independent stall holders attracting Christmas purchasers with their fantastic array of goods. It was a hive of activity with the four Houses working tremendously hard to raise as much money as possible for their charities.
A big thank you to all our parents for donating the many fantastic prizes and gifts for the silent auction and raffles which all proved hugely popular.
A special thank you to the Heathfield Parents’ Association who set up and ran an amazing Café in the theatre, welcoming visitors with an array of baked goods and cakes, along with mulled wine and hot chocolate. They created a lovely space where visitors could meet and take a break from the busy fair. Proceeds from the Café will go to the HPA to help fund their next project for the School.
