The Michaelmas Term concluded with the usual Heathfield Christmas cheer. Before Christmas lunch was served Form I performed a ‘moving’ Carol Service and visited different parts of the school singing a selection of Christmas Carols. Then the girls and staff took their seats in the Dining Room and Assembly Hall for Christmas Lunch. Crackers were pulled, jokes told, Christmas fare enjoyed and Christmas songs sung by all. Thanks to the Catering Team for putting on such a delicious lunch which was enjoyed by all.
On the final day of term parents, governors, staff and girls took part in our Carol Service, A Festival of Lessons and Carols in St Mary’s Theatre. The Carol Service concluded the term on a festive note with a selection of Christmas Carols sung by the congregation and a number of choirs which included the Top 12, senior choir, Forms I and II choirs and the staff choir. The orchestra also played a key part in the service alongside Fr Tim and the readers.
