Heathfield offers a 10% discount on school fees to the children of employees of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

The fees include tuition, class exercise books, initial print credits, Pupil Personal Accident and Dental insurance, travel insurance whilst on a School trip, the loan of generic textbooks, the majority of options in the co-curricular/activities programme and the cost of all essential A level and GCSE syllabus trips.  The boarding fees include boarding, laundry and linen.  Exam charges are not included in the fees.

The Governors review the fees annually and any change, which will be communicated before the Summer term, will be effective on 1st September.

Fees are payable termly in advance.

A £200 non-refundable fee is payable on registration.

Following entrance assessments, parents are asked to accept their child’s place at Heathfield School normally within two weeks following an offer and to pay the deposit.

The deposit is refundable less any outstanding fees owing to the school by means of a credit to the final payment when your child leaves Heathfield. The acceptance deposit will be retained, should the accepted place not be taken up.

Acceptance Deposits:

UK Day pupils – £1,000

Overseas Day pupils (including EU) – A full term’s fees

UK Boarders – £2,000

Overseas Boarders (including EU) – A full term’s fees

Extras

A few variable expenses are charged as “extras” as necessary, such as trips and expeditions, bus transport, clothing and additional books, together with certain optional extras, including additional music and riding lessons. These are usually billed one term in arrears and can typically total £200 to £300 per term.

Ad-hoc stay-overs are currently charged at £105 per night for Forms I-II or £110 for Forms III-UVI.  These charges apply to all Day and Weekly boarding students who are staying additional nights, and all students staying in school during Optional Leave weekends.  If a stay-over occurs on a Friday night, the cost of the Saturday Activities programme (excluding pocket money) is included within the charge.  Spaces for those not on Full Boarding will be subject to availability.

Additional Information

Should a direct debit or cheque be refused by the nominated or issuing bank, through no fault of the School, all discounts will be revoked and a surcharge of £40 will added to the figure owing.  The outstanding debt will become due immediately.

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers can be used towards the boarding component of a pupil’s school fees until 1 September following her 15th birthday or for any chargeable after school activities.
