Wine Tasting Club

The annual Leiths wine tasting evening introduced us to new aspects of wine: the strength of the tannin, food compatibility and the complexities of the wine making process.  Our interest was sparked and so Dr Harden kindly agreed to meet with us each week to explore the world of wine in more detail.  We sampled a number of different styles of wine from around the world, evaluating the individual flavours and mouthfeels.  Our questions have been answered by Dr Harden and we’ve begun to appreciate wine in a new way.  We hope that even after we depart, the wine knowledge we have developed will stay with us throughout university!
