After tea, our Junior Choir and Sunningdale boys gathered in the theatre for a rehearsal. Among the songs jointly performed that evening were How Can I Keep From Singing by R. Lowry, Linden Lea by Vaughan Williams, a Spanish traditional song called Cantemos a Maria and Don’t Stop Me Now by Freddie Mercury. Sunningdale School Chapel Choir performed Lord, Make Me an Instrument by Jonathan Willcocks while our Junior Choir girls performed A Whole New World by Alan Menken and Tim Rice. The audiences enjoyed the concert so much that they asked for an encore. Everyone got up on their feet, singing and dancing to the encore item while our little performers led them with the dance moves. It was a wonderful evening and another fabulous opportunity for a social with the use of music.
