In his sermon the Bishop reminded each of us that to truly witness to Christ is never easy, taking great strength and bravery. As a symbolic gesture of the need for fortitude he (gently) slapped each of the candidates on the cheek. I am pleased to report that none of our students took the opportunity of slapping Bishop Peter Doyle, aged 70, in return.
